Pen-y-Bryn Log Cabin

Pen-y-Bryn, log cabin in Snowdonia, joined the Cadair View Lodge family in July 2024.  We can see that this is going to be a very popular cabin due to the panoramic view alone.

My favourite things about Pen-y-Bryn:

  • the view - probably the best view on-site

  • the location - out of the way and quiet

  • the deck - big deck to make the most of the view

  • a great place to listen for cuckoos in Spring + early Summer

Pen-y-Bryn means "top of the hill" in Welsh.  This cabin is at the highest point of Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, giving anybody who stays here a magnificent view of the Rhinogydd mountains and out across open countryside towards Cadair Idris.

Pen-y-Bryn is a privately owned self catering log cabin in Snowdonia.  The cabin is an ideal couples' cabin but will accommodate up to 6 guests

It has 2 bed rooms.  The larger bedroom has a king sized bed (accessible from 1 side only).  The smaller bed room has bunk beds (large enough to accommodate adults).  There is also a bed settee in the living area.  The cabin is accessed by a short path from the parking area, less than 1 minute walk away.

This log cabin has had its veranda "knocked through" to give a large kitchen / dining area.  The kitchen is well equipped with a full stove plus a microwave oven.  There is also a fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and air fryer.

Double patio doors from the living area open onto a large deck area suitable for alfresco dining or just sitting out and relaxing.

The cabin is within the Snowdonia Dark Sky reserve and as such is a great place to observe (and photograph) the night sky.  There are great views to the south and to the west.  Walking a couple of minutes will give views to the north.

The cabin is pet friendly, welcoming up to 2 dogs.  The deck has a gate.

WiFi is available.

Of course guests staying in Pen-y-Bryn will receive our usual welcome pack and the discount codes for local activities.

Many things are done totally online these days and we are happy to take online bookings.  But we always like to talk with guests and potential guests to make sure that they are choosing the right accommodation for their stay and to help plan their break too.  With this in mind we are contactable by phone, email, WhatsApp and many other ways.

All Cadair View Lodge wooden cabins in Wales are located on Trawsfynydd Holiday Village.  To see the location click the button below.
Pen-y-Bryn is in the top part of the Village within a minute or so walk from Dan yr Ser, Haulfryn, Caban Eryri and Hedd Wyn cabins.
